Gigamon's GigaVUE® Pattern Match Filtering
Network traffic flowing into a load-sharing GigaVUE® switch can be “mapped” using
multi-rule filters that distribute data to multiple WildPackets OmniEngines, with each
OmniEngine analyzing a specific VLAN range, port number or IP subnet, thereby
performing comprehensive monitoring without oversubscribing any single device. Up to
4096 filter rules can be applied per system. GigaVUE® performs its filtering in hardware,
virtually eliminating latency and enabling multiple data sources to be aggregated with
mapping.
The combined power of WildPackets and Gigamon delivers unlimited full line-rate
analysis. By comparison, other products can analyze only short bursts of 10GbE traffic.
WildPackets Omnipliance Running OmniEngine
The Omnipliance is a turnkey appliance running WildPackets’ OmniEngine software for
