Product Description: GigaVUE®-MP is an Out-of-Band Data-Access Switch for enterprise networks, providing dynamic connectivity for “out-of-band” monitoring tools such as IDS, sniffers, VoIP analyzers, application monitors and data recorders. GigaVUE®-MP is a modular 10/100/1000 Ethernet system that unobtrusively acquires and maps relevant traffic from multiple data sources to multiple tools; it consists of one 8-port Base Unit and up to three 4-port GigaPORT/GigaTAP hot-pluggable modules, for a total of 20 ports.

Performance: The switch architecture is completely non-blocking and can handle as many Gigabit circuits between multiple Network Ports and multiple Tool Ports as desired as long as the total aggregated traffic arriving a single Tool Port does not exceed 1-Gig and as long as the total traffic between chassis does not exceed 10-Gig.

Interfaces: The Base Unit comes with eight copper ports (10/100/1000) and can take up to three expansion units. Each expansion unit will add four more ports and there are four styles of expansion modules available. The GigaPORT module is dual media modules and the four ports are available as either copper ports (10/100/100) or optical (multimode or single mode depending on the choice of SFP pluggable transceivers). The GigaTAP-Tx, GigaTAP-Sx and GigaTAP-Lx are dual-tap modules, capable of tapping two links which can be 10/100/1000 copper, multimode fiber and single mode fiber, respectively.

Packet Level Filtering - Dynamic line-rate bit-mask filtering to remove non-relevant traffic in order to reduce processing overhead on attached tools and to enable bandwidth-efficient multi-link aggregation. No need to break links and no more fighting over SPAN ports or taps (security, IT and compliance departments can get custom access as needed)

Backflow Support - “Virtual Crash Cart” greatly expedites “Time-to-Resolution” – GigaVUE® can instantly deploy networking tools to any link, at any time, from anywhere – automatically updating and finding paths to troubled links based on host description.

Modularized Design - Can aggregate multiple 1G inputs to 10G tool or map 10G SPAN port input to multiple 1G tools
