LAN Selects Xena Test Solutions for BBF.247 XGS-PON Certification

Selection streamlines certification process while ensuring accuracy and consistency

Copenhagen, October 19, 2017: LAN – Laboratoire des Applications Numériques – announces they will be using test solutions from Xena Networks, the global leader in Gigabit Ethernet Test Equipment Price Performance, for their BBF.247 XGS-PON certification testing program.

A new generation of PON technology, called XGS-PON, is currently under test by operators and manufacturers. Interoperability plug-tests are hosted by LAN. And a new version of BBF.247 certification, covering XGS-PON, will be issued by the Broadband Forum in the coming months. For that purpose, LAN has expanded its network architecture to 10 Gbps and acquired a 10 Gbps tester from Xena Networks.
