The XenaCompact test chassis is a lightweight 1U 19” unit that can hold any of Xena’s complete range of copper and optical Ethernet modules in the Odin, Loki, Thor and Freya product groups, as well as the Chimera network emulation module, providing test port speeds from 10Mbps to 800G. This unit is ideal for use in offices and can be safely transported from site to site using the convenient flightcase.

There are two versions of the XenaCompact chassis:

Precision wire speed testing

The high precision, stream based, wire-speed traffic generation and analysis capabilities make it ideal for testing network devices under deliberate error, stress, and random conditions. Packet formats can be defined per individual packet byte, and packet spacing, transmission rates, and bursts can be defined with byte and kbps accuracy.

Network equipment manufacturers and service providers can demonstrate that end user triple play QoE is guaranteed during network congestion, by generating traffic loads representing tens of thousands of individual network users.

Extensive software included

Included free with every XenaCompact is a Packet Generator Analyzer package for testing RFC2544, RFC2889, RFC3918, and Y.1564. The XenaManager GUI makes ad-hoc test execution and remote management of test equipment located in multiple locations, simple for management of very large numbers of test streams. The package also includes Xena OpenAutomation – an open-source test automation framework that lets users automate testing from any software environment, using Tcl, Python, Perl, VBA, Ruby and Java wrappers to convert to/from the generic XOA CLI format.

A smart, sturdy flightcase is available for the XenaCompact. It features custom padding and is ideal for protecting the ethernet tester during transportation.
